What is the difference between Scam ID and Scam Block?
  • With Scam ID, your incoming call screen will alert you to an incoming scam call by displaying “scam likely”
  • With Scam Block, “scam likely” calls get immediately blocked on the network so you don’t see the calls
How can I get them?
  • Our intention is to automatically enable Scam ID for all T-Mobile and MetroPCS customers over time.
  • T-Mobile postpaid customers can enable Scam ID for themselves beginning April 5 by dialing #ONI# (#664#) and pressing the call button in their phone’s dialer.
  • To turn on Scam Block, customers can dial #ONB# (#662#) or logging in to myT-mobile.com
  • To turn Scam Block off, dial #OFB# (#632#).
  • To check whether Scam Block is on or off, customers can dial #STS# (#787#).
Do Scam ID & Scam Block only work on select phones?
  • Scam ID requires a phone with Caller ID, but Scam Block will work regardless of a phone’s Caller ID capabilities.
Do I get notifications when receiving an incoming scam call or are the calls blocked entirely?
  • With Scam ID, your incoming call screen will alert you to an incoming scam call by displaying “scam likely”
  • With Scam Block, “scam likely” calls get immediately blocked on the network so you never see the call
  • It is possible that Scam Block may in rare circumstances inadvertently block desired calls. Please note that you are free to turn off Scam Blocking at any time by using USSD code, #OFB# (#632#).
What if a call is misidentified and is either not a scammer, or they really are a scammer?
  • We don’t expect this to happen, but if a customer suspects that a legitimate number is being blocked, or if they think a number should be identified as a scammer, they can submit a request for an update here: https://www.t-mobile.com/callreporting
  • It is possible that Scam Block may in rare circumstances inadvertently block desired calls. Please note that you are free to turn off Scam Blocking at any time by using USSD code, #OFB# (#632#).
Can I opt out of Scam ID & Scam Block?
  • You are always in control and always have the power to decline or block scam calls.
    • To turn on Scam Block, customers can dial #ONB# (#662#) or logging in to myT-mobile.com
    • To turn Scam Block off, dial #OFB# (#632#).
    • To check whether Scam Block is on or off, customers can dial #STS# (#787#).
  • If you want to turn off Scam ID, you can call T-Mobile Customer Care or visit a T-Mobile retail store.
Do Scam ID & Scam Block identify and prevent calls from telemarketers and solicitors or is it just scammers?
  • Scam ID will automatically identify known scam calls and will allow you to block those calls with Scam Block. Both features are included at no extra charge.
  • To identify other nuisance callers on your Android phone, you can upgrade to Name ID, which is available with T-Mobile ONE Plus for $4 per month.
Do Scam ID and Scam Block work on tablets?
  • Scam ID & Scam Block will work on every single device capable of displaying caller ID and receiving voice calls on T-Mobile’s network.
Will scam calls go to my voice mail, like when I reject an incoming call?
  • The call is blocked in the network before it ever reaches your phone.
How is Name ID different from Scam ID?

Scam ID identifies known scam callers. Name ID provides additional benefits such as displaying calling party name when not in your address book, and also supports personal number blocking and reverse number lookup.
